Loud Noises Production was founded by Owen Davies in 2009, and over the past 15 years, he has helped hundreds of artists craft and develop their sound in the studio.
Owen specialises in genres of music that require a modern approach to production and is a creative producer who is easy to work with and always willing to go the extra mile to get a record over the line. He is known for his work with rock, metal, punk, hardcore and alternative artists, but he is equally at home working in other genres and has been involved in a number of pop and hip-hop projects over the years.
His passion for music started at an early age whilst learning to play guitar, this led to a weekend job in a local recording studio where he became obsessed with music production, he then went on to study Music Technology at University before landing his first engineering job in a studio. He soon moved into producing music with local artists and after years of honing his recording and production skills, set up Loud Noises Production.
Owen mainly works out of his own Staffordshire, West Midlands based studio but is also available to produce and engineer records in other spaces.
Whilst Owen is primarly a studio engieer he has extensive experience working in live events in various capacities, including backline tech, sound engineer and stage crew from club shows up to large scale festivals. Over the years he’s been fortunate enough to work on stages across Europe with artists such as Four Tet, Magnum, Alterbridge, Paul Weller, Jessie J, Paloma Faith, Drake and The Weeknd.
In his spare time, Owen can usually be found in his workshop building boutique guitar pedals and studio equipment. He has a keen interest in audio electronics and his custom builds can be found in studios and on the pedal boards of several artists, under the name Loud Noises Devices.
